I was born and grew up in the small town Flekkefjord, but have since then lived in Oslo. Married to Nanette Nielsen, a professor who knows everything. Together we have two sons, Nicolai and Victor, and a Bengal cat, Skye. We are often in Denmark and Hungary.
My constant eager to seek out new knowledge and actively develop new skills, has turned me in to a Chief Engineer and IT Project Manager at the University of Oslo. Fields of interest are:
- (Multi Factor) Authentication and Passkeys
- Privacy (GDPR)
- Digital workflows (Playbooks)
- Automation (Blue Prism – RPA)
- Project management software
- Communication software – especially Mattermost (Awarded MVP for v9.10 for my translation work), Element (see my translation work) and Thunderbird
- Nextcloud
- Operating Systems: macOS, iOS, Linux and Haiku OS
